Scott Parker is the founder of Acadia Professional and a widely recognized medical professional liability insurance executive. Mr. Parker advances the initiatives that define Acadia as a market leader. Dedicated exclusively to the healthcare delivery space, Scott advises many of the nation’s leading physician groups on professional liability matters. Parker ’s expertise lies in the depth and breadth of his experience working with large practices to maximize their purchasing power, cover exposures, and provide risk transfer strategies. His unique relationships with national healthcare management companies, law firms, and consultants have helped position Acadia as a leader in the evolving healthcare professional liability industry.

Scott currently serves as a the President of the Society for Healthcare Risk Managers of NJ where he leads the organization’s content delivery and strategic execution.

Prior to Acadia, Mr. Parker led Arthur J. Gallagher’s New York Medical Professional Liability Office. Mr. Parker is recognized for his work with numerous county medical and specialty societies throughout the region. Scott has served on both the Membership Committee and the Advocacy Committee of the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers and has become a recognized risk expert in the ASC community. Most recently he co-founded and organized the NY Metro ASC Symposium. Mr. Parker’s work has been published in industry publications such as SurgiStrategies and New Jersey ASC.

From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Parker was a member of Merrill Lynch’s institutional sales team in the product area of credit and credit derivative products. He has earned his Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University where he was a member of the Varsity Baseball Team. Parker is active in the Foundation for Diabetes Research, a charitable organization focused on funding critical research to cure diabetes.
